DC GOLD AUDIO Reference Line
The Reference line is aptly named. After 25 years of utilizing all of the top brand drivers available (Gold Ribbon, Manger, Dynaudio, etc) we decided that good was not good enough. Our Reference line is dedicated to music. “The Gold Standard of Sound Reproduction” is not just a slogan, but personal creed and goal; to re-create the sound that the engineer puts on the record (CD, etc). The biggest change from Classic to Reference is the change from aluminum to beryllium in the most critical place that give the best sonic bang for the buck. Beryllium is used in some of the finest tweeters made but in our design it adds to the bass, smooths the midrange and extends the highs. We think we have achieved our goal – you be the judge. When you can afford and appreciate the best!

N4R – a great small space full range or midrange for a hi resolution system This 4” will play down to <80 Hz and up to 20 kHz. Equally at home in a jet-ski or hi end home audio / home theater system. The possibilities are endless – line source, mini-monitor, etc. Let your imagination run wild.
N5R – our 5 ¼” works well in a 1/3 cu. ft. sealed box. This has been used successfully in a built-in 7.1 home theater system. It creates a wide and deep sound-field where there are no bad seats in the house. This speaker will surprise you with its full-range capabilities. This speaker could be used in outdoor environments (boats, spas, etc) or in the best home audio / theater system. As a high efficiency midrange / tweeter with a capable woofer, this would be a system to be reckoned with. Only a simple crossover, if any, is needed for a multi driver system.
N69R – It is exquisite detail with a smoothness that allows for all day listening. Enough bass to satisfy and clarity to hear things you never heard before in recordings. The 6 X 9 size breaks up any cone resonance, the cone treatment and special alloys extend the frequency range in both directions; the result is an amazing driver for all applications.
N7R is our newest speaker. It utilizes a new, custom cast aluminum basket that is given a two-part coating to keep it saltwater ready. It is also open so reflections are reduced. It has a frequency response from 40Hz to 20kHz and a sensitivity of 93dB 1w/1m. The lows are clean, midrange is smooth and highs extended without being harsh. It has been used successfully in sealed cabinets and should be great in ported or t-lines, too. These can be built in to a wall (protect from foreign objects – build a housing) for a home theater set-up. Great impulse repsponce so the dynamics are amazing!
N9.5R – the most efficient driver of the lot (95dB). It plays both clean and loud. It will play deep (below 30Hz) and high (18+kHz). It could be the perfect companion to a single ended amplifier or on a boat with “Full Wave Audio’s” digital amplifier. The midrange is smooth and detailed for the most amazing vocals. This is the state of the art for a single driver full range system.
